sakfcsurveyContrary to the misconception that exercise depletes energy, it actually increases it. Regular physical activity improves the efficiency of the cardiovascular system, making it easier for the heart and lungs to supply oxygen to the muscles. This results in increased energy levels and reduced feelings of fatigue.
Better Sleep:
People who exercise regularly often experience better sleep quality. Physical activity helps regulate sleep patterns and can be an effective remedy for insomnia. Establishing a consistent exercise routine can contribute to a more restful and rejuvenating night's sleep.
Enhanced Flexibility and Balance:
Engaging in activities that promote flexibility and balance, such as yoga or tai chi, can improve overall physical function. This is especially important as we age, as it helps prevent falls and injuries. Incorporating exercises that target flexibility and balance into your routine can contribute to better mobility and longevity.
Social Benefits:
Exercise can also be a social activity, providing opportunities to connect with others. Whether it's joining a fitness class, participating in team sports, or going for a group hike, exercising with others can enhance motivation, build a sense of community, and make the overall experience more enjoyable.
Incorporating regular exercise into your lifestyle is a simple yet powerful way to promote overall health and well-being. Whether you prefer high-intensity workouts or gentler activities, finding an exercise routine that suits your preferences and fits into your schedule is key. The benefits of regular exercise extend beyond physical health, positively impacting mental well-being and contributing to a happier, more fulfilling life. So, lace up those sneakers, find an activity you enjoy, and make regular exercise a cornerstone of your healthy lifestyle.

Our therapist will assess from sports injuries and back pain, to rehab after breast cancer surgery and serious accidents. As an outpatient you will have an assessment by the physio, so they can determine a programme of exercises. You'll often have a course of treatment sessions but your progress will be reviewed and adjusted as necessary at each one to make sure you're heading in the right direction and building your strength in the correct areas.
It could involve hands-on mobilization and massage techniques and will almost certainly involve exercises to do at home. If you play sport or need to build strength you may need to use one of our state-of-the-art gyms.
